The former first deputy director of the Rosgvardiya, Colonel-General Viktor Strigunov, became a defendant in a criminal case on abuse of office. This was reported to TASS in law enforcement agencies.
"Strigunov was detained in Moscow as part of a criminal case initiated under Article 285 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (abuse of official authority)," the agency's interlocutor said.
He clarified that Strigunov has already been charged.
Recall that the Federal Service of the National Guard Troops of the Russian Federation is headed by Viktor Zolotov.
