US President Donald Trump on Tuesday said that Iran and Israel allegedly came to him and asked for peace, and warned that both countries have something to lose if there is no truce.
"Israel and Iran came to me almost at the same time and said: "Peace!“ I knew the time had come. The world and the Middle East are the real winners! Both nations will see great love, peace and prosperity in their future. They will gain so much, but they will also lose so much if they stray from the path of righteousness and truth," Trump wrote on his Truth Social network.
Trump previously reported that Israel and Iran have agreed to conclude a truce, which after 24 hours should be "the official end of the 12-day war." According to him, Iran will be the first to cease fire, while Israel will take a similar step in 12 hours.
