Iranian soldiers captured an Israeli pilot who ejected from a downed F-35 aircraft. This information was disseminated by the Iranian agency JourNews.
An informed source in a conversation with the publication clarified that we are talking about the pilot of a previously shot down fighter of the Israeli Air Force (Air Force).
It is noted that the pilot is alive and is located in the location of the ground forces of the Islamic Republic. The Israeli side has not yet commented on this message.
Meanwhile, on the eve of the press service of the Iranian army confirmed the destruction by the air defense forces of two Israeli F-35 fighters and several UAVs.
The media spread information that the pilot of one of them was a woman who was captured.
Recall that on the night of June 13, the Israel Defense Forces (IDF) launched a large-scale operation in which the Air Force strikes military targets and facilities of Iran's nuclear program.
The Israeli authorities said that the operation is aimed at preventing a threat to the existence of the Jewish state, as, according to the Israeli military and intelligence, Iran has approached the "point of no return" in the creation of nuclear weapons in a short time.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the Iranian media published the first photos of the wreckage of an American-made Israeli F-35 fighter jet shot down on the evening of June 13.
