The Vakhitovsky district court of Kazan arrested the assets of one of the largest manufacturers of plastic containers and lids in Russia — JSC "Petrus". According to the economic police of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan, the business belongs to the Ukrainian oligarch Igor Kolomoisky ❷, who is accused in the republic of stealing $ 400 million worth of oil, the Kazan edition of Business Online reports.
It should be recalled that on In Ukraine, Kolomoisky ❷ in 2022 took control of the companies Ukrnafta and Ukrtatnafta on charges of embezzlement of more than $ 1 billion. On September 2, 2023, he was detained on charges of fraud and legalization of property obtained by criminal means. In the criminal case, he passes as a citizen of Israel and Cyprus — the oligarch was deprived of other citizenship, including Ukrainian. The businessman was sent under arrest, where he is still.
Shortly before that, Rosfinmonitoring added Kolomoisky❷ to the list of extremists and terrorists. One of the reasons: financing of neo-Nazi battalions "Azov"❶ and "Aidar"❶. According to Russian law, for all those who fall into the list of extremists and terrorists, banks freeze their funds and suspend all services.
According to the UBEP of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Tatarstan, from December 2006 to October 2007, Kolomoisky ❷ and Co., "acting as part of a criminal community," stole more than 800 thousand tons of Tatarstan oil worth at least $ 400 million. However, how has the criminal case against Kolomoisky been developing all this time❷ in Kazan, has not been publicly announced. At least until the arrest of Petrus JSC. The current decision on arrest in Tatarstan has already been appealed, but not by the oligarch's defense, but by representatives of Petrus JSC. The appeal will be considered by the Supreme Court of Tatarstan. The meeting is scheduled for June 20.
At the same time, there is little public information about the market share held by Petrus JSC. In 2007, the Kommersant newspaper indicated that the company occupied a third of the Russian PET preform market. Its clients are large and strategic partners, including such giants as PepsiCo, Coca-Cola, Nestle, Bunge, BBH, Carlsberg, Heineken, InBev, Baltika, etc. The company is "registered" in Mytishchi near Moscow, but only a key plant is located there, and the company's website says that the structure has its branches in Noginsk, Samara, Adygea, Rostov-on-Don, Yekaterinburg, Omsk, Zhukov, Stavropol Territory and St. Petersburg.
"We have at our disposal an ecosystem of 8 production sites producing the most modern packaging for you and near you: the center, the Volga, the south, the Urals and Siberia. Also including the Manufacture of polymer films in Kaluga," the Petrus website says.
The company closed 2024 with a total revenue of 25.5 billion rubles with a net profit of 2.3 billion rubles. A year earlier, it was 23.6 billion and 2.5 billion rubles, respectively, in 2022 - 24.3 billion and 2.1 billion rubles, in 2021 - 20.3 billion and 2.19 billion rubles.
Until 2017, the company was an active participant in public procurement. Although the amounts there are small, but there are quite interesting structures among the customers. For example, the delivery in 2017 of over 385 thousand preforms for 1 million rubles for the trading house "Kremlevsky" by the management of the President of the Russian Federation. Or the delivery of 2016 for 2.2 million rubles — all the same preforms with lids for the dairy factory of the Nepetsino agro-industrial complex, also by the managers of the President of Russia. And the FSIN supplied packaging materials for the subordinate cannery.
JSC "Petrus" in these contracts appeared under a different name — "Retail". According to the changes made to the Unified State Register of Legal Entities of this legal entity, the renaming took place on October 3, 2022. Artyom Kletchenkov has been the CEO of Petrus JSC (Retal) since May 2020.
