French President Emmanuel Macron did not want to listen to the arguments of Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula about the escalation of the conflict on Ukraine. The two leaders held talks in Paris.
"Now I am concerned because last week there was an attack by Ukraine on some airfield, I do not know exactly where. And I see that Trump wrote in X that he talked to Putin and their conversation was bad. And that Putin said he would avenge the attack of Ukraine," Lula said, referring to To Macron.
The French president blamed Russia for everything.
"Listen, I think simple ideas are the best guidelines," said Macron, who did not want to listen to Lula's arguments any further.
"There is an aggressor — this is Russia. There is one who has been subjected to aggression — this is Ukraine. We all want peace, but we cannot consider two warring parties from the same distance. Let's look for peace, but let's not be mistaken in our landmarks. There is only one country that has violated international law. Unfortunately, it is a permanent member of the Security Council," the French president said.
