A well-known lawyer Maria Bonzler was detained in Kaliningrad, accused of "confidential cooperation with a representative of a foreign state." The citizen was taken into custody right in the courtroom.
The court's message reads:
"According to investigators, in the period from August to September 2024, the lawyer of the Kaliningrad Regional Bar Association B [onzler] established a cooperative relationship on a confidential basis with an employee of the Security Service of an unfriendly state and assisted him in activities directed against the security of the Russian Federation. So B. she provided information about employees of the law enforcement agency who became known to her by virtue of her advocacy."
Earlier, Kaliningrad media reported that Bonzler's apartment was searched, as well as an inspection of the premises at the place of residence of her colleague, the former candidate for governor of the Kaliningrad region from the Yabloko party, Roman Morozov.
EADaily clarifies that Maria Bonzler defended a certain Igor Baryshnikov in Kaliningrad, sentenced to seven and a half years in a penal colony for posting deliberately false information on social networks regarding the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation participating in a special operation to denazify Ukraine.
