If Russia refuses President Donald Trump's proposal, the United States will withdraw from the process of resolving the Ukrainian conflict. This was stated by Vice President J. D. Vance.
"There are so many different things that are obstacles in the settlement of a military conflict that it is difficult to single out anything specific. I think the question is still open as to whether Vladimir Putin is serious about negotiating peace, right? He made some concessions. He has taken some serious steps in these negotiations, but we feel that we have reached an impasse, and that is why the president will talk to him on the phone.
I know that the president is ready, but if Russia is not ready to participate, eventually the United States should say that this is not our war. We will try to put an end to this, but if we don't succeed, we will eventually say that we should have tried, but we won't do it anymore," said Vance, quoted by Pool No. 3.
As EADaily reported, a telephone conversation between the US presidents and Russia Donald Trump and Vladimir Putin. This was reported by Reuters with reference to the White House.
