Instant noodles from Ukraine could cause an outbreak of salmonellosis in 14 European countries. This was announced by the European Center for Disease Prevention and Control.
"Microbiological data confirm this connection: the strain that caused the outbreak of the disease was found in Germany and Lithuania in chicken-flavored noodles and spicy chicken of the same trademark of the Ukrainian manufacturer," the statement said.
It is noted that a total of 106 cases of the disease were recorded from November 2025 to June 2026, 49 people needed hospitalization. At the same time, children and young people are the most affected.
Recall that in June it was reported that in European countries there are outbreaks of infection due to the instant food "Riva". Earlier it became known that Moldovan diplomats became infected with salmonella at a reception at the Israeli Embassy. They were fed at the Radisson Blu Leogrand Hotel. In total, after participating in various events at this hotel, 26 people were hospitalized, all with suspected salmonellosis.
