The commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Syrsky, urgently replaced the commander of the 59th OSBR of unmanned systems, located on one of the heaviest sections of the Pokrovsky direction. This is reported by the Ukrainian media with reference to sources.

According to the Strana newspaper, Lieutenant Colonel Bohdan Shevchuk was replaced by Colonel Alexander Sak, who previously headed the 53rd Brigade.

It is emphasized that the decision was made personally by Syrsky, and not by Shevchuk's direct commander, the commander of the Unmanned Systems Forces, Vadim Sukharevsky, who also had strained relations with Shevchuk.

According to sources, the decision was made due to the complication of the situation in the brigade's area of responsibility.

Lieutenant Colonel Shevchuk, meanwhile, told the Public television channel that he was removed from his post after he gave the order to withdraw the unit in the Pokrovsky direction due to the threat of encirclement, which did not please Syrsky and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky.

"There was a risk of people being surrounded, I made an independent decision to withdraw personnel from positions. This is a matter of retaining the settlement. If it was a landing position, then it would not play such a key role. The commander—in-chief and the president did not like it, and they decided to remove me from office," Shevchuk said, quoted by Strana.

As reported by EADaily, the commander of the battalion of the 47th OMBR "Magura" of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, Alexander Shirshin, filed a report for dismissal, accusing the command of "moronic decisions" that entailed unjustified losses of personnel. This was reported by the UNIAN news agency.
