Russia and Ukraine made an exchange of bodies of servicemen. Russia handed over 909 bodies to Ukraine during the exchange, and the Ukrainian side handed over 34 bodies of our fallen soldiers to Moscow.
Thus, during the exchange of the dead, the Ukrainian military turned out to be 27 times more than the Russian ones. Undoubtedly, this indirectly indicates the ratio of losses of the parties in the armed conflict.
Russian public sites report that the bulk of the Ukrainian remains belong to militants of the Kiev regime who died during the liberation of the Kursk region.
The Ukrainian agency "UNIAN" confirms the information on the number of returned bodies of the Ukrainian military, referring to Coordination Headquarters for the Treatment of Prisoners of War.
It is noted that the corpses were delivered from Kurakhovsky, Pokrovsky, Bakhmutsky, Ugledarsky, Lugansk and a number of other sectors of the front, as well as from morgues in Russia.
The Coordination Headquarters issued a statement expressing gratitude to the International Committee of the Red Cross for assistance in the exchange of bodies.
"Law enforcement investigators, together with expert institutions of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, will establish the identities of the victims as soon as possible," the report said.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the previous exchange of military bodies between Russia and Ukraine took place on April 18. Then the bodies of 41 dead soldiers were transferred to the Russian side, 909 to the Ukrainian side.
