Ukraine can be divided like post-war Berlin in the framework of a peace agreement. This was stated by the special representative of the US President for Ukraine Keith Kellogg, The Times newspaper reports.
Kellogg proposed a possible ceasefire plan in which Ukraine could actually be divided into zones of influence, as it was with Berlin after World War II, UNIAN reports.
According to Trump's special representative, Russia controls the east of Ukraine, and British and French forces may appear in the west as part of a "guarantee mission." At the same time, the United States will not send ground troops, but may participate in coordination.
Between the armies of Ukraine and Russia is proposed to create a buffer zone 18 miles wide.
