There was an incident on the Polish-Russian border. A drunken Pole rammed through the fence and tried to escape from the scene, but was stopped by border guards.
Judging by the video, which was made public by the Polish border guards, at night the driver did not stop at the barrier on the Polish-Russian border, but knocked down the fence at a decent speed. Only later he braked, then reversed and drove off in the direction from where he came.
The Polish Border Guard Service clarified that the driver did not manage to hide far. He was detained by the staff of the institution in Grzhekhotkah. As it turned out, a 44-year-old resident of the Ostrudan povyat of the Warmian-Masurian voivodeship was driving.
"The driver did not have a driver's license. In addition, an alcohol test showed that the exhaled air of the man contained more than 1.5 ppm of alcohol, " the report said.
Employees of the border outpost in Grzhekhotki handed over the drunk driver to the Branevo police.
