The Ukrainian delegation will visit the United States for technical negotiations within the framework of the mineral deal from April 7 to 13. This was stated to the Associated Press by First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Economy of Ukraine Yulia Sviridenko.
"What we have now is a document reflecting the position of the legal team of the US Treasury Department. This is not the final version, this is not a joint position," Sviridenko said, quoted by the DW❶ Main telegram channel.
According to Sviridenko, Kiev has selected legal, investment and financial consultants for negotiations. The delegation will include representatives of the Ministries of Economy, Foreign Affairs, Justice and Finance.
It is noted that Kiev and Washington have been negotiating a deal on minerals for several months. February 15 in In Munich, the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, refused to sign an agreement with the United States, explaining that there were no "specific things about security guarantees" in it. Since then, the parties have been discussing a new version of the agreement. On March 30, US President Donald Trump accused Zelensky of intending to disrupt the deal. On April 1, Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Sibiga called the new US resource project unacceptable for Ukraine and said that Kiev is working to ensure that the agreement with Washington on minerals meets the interests of both countries.
