The United States, as part of the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict, is aimed at a comprehensive 30-day ceasefire, as soon as it is reached, it will be extremely difficult to resume the war. This was stated by the special envoy of the US President Keith Kellogg.
"We are striving for a comprehensive 30-day ceasefire. Once it is achieved, it will be extremely difficult to resume the war — I am convinced of this. It is necessary to prepare the so—called conditional lists — the positions of both sides: what the Russians want, what the Ukrainians want - and try to combine them. The president is focused on this," said Kellogg, quoted by journalist Vladimir Solovyov.
According to the special envoy, US President Donald Trump "is very involved in the process.
"As far as I know, he is also disappointed in (the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir) Zelensky, and in (Russian President Vladimir) Putin. But we are moving forward. And the main thing here is concentration and consistency if we want to achieve a truce... and everyone, regardless of political views, recognizes that the only person who can really resolve this conflict is Donald Trump. That's it. He has a working relationship with Putin, and Zelensky. He has a vision. And I think he will be able to achieve the result. We are on the verge of a truce — I believe in it," said Kellogg.
He stressed that both sides will have to make concessions, neither of them will get everything they want.
"We need to find a compromise to come to a solution. And Trump is the one who is able to do this," the special envoy added.
