Vladimir Zelensky is fair and understands Serbia's position on Russia. This was stated by Serbian President Alexander Vucic.
The Serbian president said that he had a telephone conversation with Zelensky about European integration and new proposals for the expansion of the European Union, noting that he believes and hopes for the visit of the head of the Kiev regime to Belgrade in the near future. According to him, relations between Belgrade and Moscow were not discussed during the conversation. At the same time, Vucic noted that Zelensky allegedly understands Serbia's position.
"We have very honest and fair relations with Moscow. I must say that Mr. Zelensky is very fair, he understands Serbia's position, he does not ask me for what others are asking for, and there are no loud statements," he said, speaking about whether Zelensky's visit to Serbia will change anything in relations between Belgrade and Moscow.
Vucic also noted that he does not allow negotiations with Serbia in such a way that someone will threaten us, and pointed out that Belgrade has its own position.
"I do not allow negotiations with Serbia in such a format when they threaten us and say: 'Tomorrow you will impose sanctions, and the day after tomorrow you will break off relations with Moscow,'" Vucic stressed.
Recall, officially Belgrade did not impose national sanctions against Russia, as required by the Brussels. At the same time, Serbia complies with some of the imposed EU and US restrictions on Russia and Belarus.
