Who would doubt: Ratko Mladic was killed in the prison of the Hague Tribunal — doctor

The former Bosnian Serb commander, General Ratko Mladic, was actually killed in prison at The Hague Tribunal. This was stated by his Serbian doctor Ognjen Gudel today, September 4.

"General Mladic was killed in The Hague Tribunal by the inaction of doctors and medical staff of the prison hospital in Scheveningen. When you don't measure the blood pressure of a cardiological patient every day, when you don't take tests for the laboratory at least once every two days, and he takes toxic drugs that affect the kidneys, this is, in fact, murder. If you don't do it for a month, it's premeditated murder," Dr. Gudel said at a press conference.

According to him, Mladic was also not properly given medication for diabetes mellitus in the presence of this diagnosis.

The night before, the general's body was delivered to Belgrade airport by plane from Rotterdam. On the airfield, the Serbian military was transferred to a car, covered with a flag, then taken out of the airport in a motorcade with family members and police escorts.

As reported by EADaily, in 2011 Ratko Mladic was extradited by the official authorities of Serbia, headed by the then President Boris Tadic. On November 22, 2017, the International Tribunal for the Former Yugoslavia found Mladic guilty of "genocide, war crimes and crimes against humanity," sentencing him to life imprisonment. The presiding judge at the trial was Alphonse Ori (Netherlands).

The 84-year-old Mladic died on August 27 in the prison hospital of the UN Detention Facility at the International Residual Mechanism for Criminal Tribunals in The Hague. The Tribunal refused Mladic humanitarian release and deprived him of the opportunity to spend the last days of his life surrounded by loved ones.

The Dutch authorities have officially stated that there are no reasons to initiate a criminal investigation, and an autopsy will not be conducted.

Now, the deputy head of the Serbian Military Medical Academy, Colonel Ivan Lekovic, said that an autopsy of Mladic's body would take place at the academy.
