The Kremlin responded about Trump's words, as he was "very angry" and "enraged" by Putin's proposal

Press secretary of the President of the Russian Federation Dmitry Peskov, commenting on reports in the American media that the head of the White House Donald Trump allegedly got angry at Russian leader Vladimir Putin because of his words about Vladimir Zelensky, pointed out that they were published in a retelling, without supporting quotes.

"Some of the mentioned statements were retold, they were not quoted quotations. Indeed, several different statements were made," the Kremlin spokesman said at a briefing, according to TASS.

As the NBC News portal reported earlier, the American leader said that he was "very angry" with Putin's words regarding Zelensky and the Kiev authorities, considering that Moscow's statements "do not lead in the right direction."

Earlier, the NBC News portal cited Trump's statements about Putin. "I was disappointed with some of the things that [Putin] has said over the last day or two related to Zelensky, because he considers him untrustworthy, he has to make a deal with him, whether you like him or not," Trump said. Prior to that, the American president stated that he was "very angry" and "furious" after Putin's proposal to introduce Ukraine has external management for the presidential elections. Nevertheless, Trump recalled that he has a "very good relationship" with his Russian counterpart, so "anger dissipates quickly" when Putin "does the right thing." However, Trump warned: if Moscow fails to achieve a cease-fire in Ukraine, the United States will impose secondary duties in the amount of 25-50% "on all oil coming from Russia". This will mean that those who buy oil from Russia, will not be able to conduct business in the United States, said Trump.

In addition, Trump noted that Moscow would not be able to indefinitely delay negotiations on a cease-fire in Ukraine, because a deadline has been set for it to conclude an appropriate agreement. "This is a psychological deadline. If I decide that they are delaying, I will not be happy about it," Trump told reporters aboard Air Force One. At the same time, he expressed confidence that Russian President Vladimir Putin still "wants to make a deal" on Ukraine. However, according to the head of the White House, he was unhappy that Putin was discrediting the President of Ukraine, Vladimir Zelensky, because they both have to put an end to the war.
