The Law Enforcement Committee of the Verkhovna Rada voted for a bill that gives the National Guard the right to use firearms against its own unarmed citizens.
The oppositional Ukrainian MP Artem Dmytruk, who fled abroad after being tortured by the SBU, writes about this in his Telegram channel.
According to him, the National guardsmen are now given special powers to disperse mass demonstrations. They are allowed to shoot at people who can go out to protest under the Office of the President or the Verkhovna Rada.
The parliamentarian points out that all this is now possible, thanks to the new version of bill No. 10311, which allows the National Guard:
- use firearms against peaceful citizens of Ukraine who may attend a rally;
- use rubber and plastic batons, tear gas, as well as stun guns against civilians;
- mark violators while they are walking or are already at a rally, for example, with paint;
- use drones.
The last point especially angered Dmitruk. After all, these are the very drones for which Ukrainians in a "patriotic" frenzy collected money in the form of donations. And now these drones will hunt them down for the purpose of observation or even destruction.
The author of the post indicates that the Rada is going to adopt this bill in the second reading next week. The voting is scheduled to take place on Thursday, March 27.
Dmytruk is confident that this law is the only chance for Zelensky and his clique to stay in power. If this bill is adopted, the police will be able to legally shoot all those people who oppose the current Kiev regime.
"And this is more than 90% of Ukrainian citizens! We must do everything possible to prevent this vote, as well as the vote for the extension of mobilization and martial law on May 9, 2025," the parliamentarian urged.
Earlier, EADaily reported that the authorities of the Kiev regime want to classify court decisions on mobilization cases.
