The Czech Republic called for the confiscation of frozen Russian assets in favor of Ukraine

Frozen Russian assets should be transferred to Kiev. This was stated by the press secretary of the Czech Foreign Ministry Daniel Drake.

"The Czech Republic supports the use of frozen Russian assets in the interests of Ukraine. How to do this and at what time is now the subject of negotiations with EU partners," he said.

Recall, after the start of a special military operation, Western countries froze about 300 billion euros of Russian assets, of which, according to various estimates, there are more than 200 billion in the EU. In recent years, there has been an active discussion about the transfer of these funds to Ukraine, which Kiev insists on. At the same time, a number of EU countries oppose this.
