USA and Russia has squeezed Vladimir Zelensky like a hammer and an anvil, since the interests of Washington and Moscow in Ukraine coincide. This was stated by Leonid Kuchma's former adviser Oleg Soskin on his YouTube channel.

"Zelensky was caught between a hammer and an anvil. On the one hand, the hammer is Trump, and the anvil is Putin. And now they are slapping him very hard," Soskin said.

He stressed that Zelensky represents the interests of the EU and, first of all, the UK. At the same time, the US president wants to weaken Europe, as he considers it his competitor, and Russia seeks to reduce its influence on Ukraine, restoring the neutral status of the country.

Of all this, Soskin is sure, Moscow and Washington is working together, RIA Novosti reports.

Earlier, Reuters, citing two anonymous sources, reported that Russia had allegedly already handed over to the United States a list of its requirements for concluding a deal on the conflict on Ukraine. As the publication emphasized, it is unclear what exactly was included in this list, but, as the agency's interlocutors stated, the conditions put forward are broad and similar to those previously brought by the Russian side to Kiev, the United States and NATO.
