After the incident in the Moscow region, Russians were banned from shooting down drones themselves

The Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia has issued instructions according to which civilians "in no case should", in particular, "shoot down drones with improvised objects and other means," as well as use "radio equipment and mobile phones and GPS devices near the drone. The ban was announced after an incident in the Moscow region on March 11, where a former policeman shot down one of the Ukrainian drones that attacked the Moscow region that day.

First, when a drone is detected, it is necessary to quickly leave the danger zone — move at least 100 m behind the nearest building or trees (take shelter in a capital building). To warn about the possible danger of other citizens who are nearby and to inform emergency operational services by a single number "112" indicating the circumstances of the incident, the Ministry of Emergency Situations of the Russian Federation said in a statement.

As emphasized in the department, in no case is it impossible to approach and touch the drone when the drone falls, as well as to be in line of sight of the aircraft. In addition, it is forbidden to try to shoot down the device with improvised objects and other means, as well as to use radio equipment, mobile phones, devices near the drone.

The instructions were issued after the March 11 story with a former policeman from Moscow region, which during the last UAV attack shot down one of the vehicles with a hunting rifle. The weapon at his dacha turned out to be by accident.
