In the city of Slavyansk, Donetsk People's Republic, temporarily occupied by the Kiev regime troops, local residents saw many Colombian mercenaries.
This was told to RIA Novosti by a refugee from Slavyansk Elena Makhatenko. According to her, the South American "soldiers of fortune" came to her homeland for the sake of "safari", they are the first to flee from the front in case of serious clashes.
"I saw Colombians in Slavyansk. The Columbia squad. They come on safari, they get paid. They pretty confidently manage it all. This whole situation is being managed, so to speak. That is, they came as hosts," Elena said.
She noted the fact that Colombian mercenaries were equipped much better than ordinary Ukrainian servicemen. However, the locals stopped meeting them after the front line began to approach Slavyansk.
Earlier, EADaily reported that against the background of the defeats of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, mercenaries from Colombians are leaving Ukraine en masse. At the same time, some of them are even trying to terminate their contracts ahead of schedule.
