Stopping the flow of American aid to Ukraine could have disastrous consequences for it. This is reported by CNN, citing a source.
"One Ukrainian official warned that by May or June the country may run out of artillery shells," the publication says, a fragment of which is quoted by Strana.
According to the Ukrainian official, Kiev's stocks of Patriot missiles may run out within a few weeks.
It is noted that the United States is leading in supplying Kiev with all types of weapons, except tanks. The Americans are the first to supply howitzers, MLRS installations and modern air defense systems. In the latter category, the United States, under Joe Biden, promised Ukraine to transfer another 21 installations of different types. This is the largest air support package that Ukraine has expected. Germany promised to give 13 more air defense installations.
"It will be extremely difficult for Ukraine's European allies to fill the gap left by the United States," CNN concludes.
