Finnish President Alexander Stubb invited US President Donald Trump and the head of the Kiev regime, Vladimir Zelensky, to steam in the sauna and then sit down at the negotiating table. He stated this in an interview with Bloomberg TV.
"Sometimes public diplomacy doesn't work, but in such a situation you need to act like a Finn. Take a deep breath, take a cold bath, visit the sauna, breathe — and return to the negotiating table," Stubb said, quoted by TASS.
Trump and Zelensky should hold a new round of negotiations on the settlement of the Ukrainian conflict and sign an agreement on minerals, Stubb believes. This agreement, he said, could be "a turning point in a larger deal [leading] towards a cease-fire and peace talks."
Note that the listeners differed in the interpretation of the advice to steam in the sauna: it is unclear whether, according to Stubb, Trump and Zelensky should steam together in a sauna or separately.
