A powerful explosion thundered in the capital of Kazakhstan

On the night of February 13-14, an explosion of a container arriving by train occurred at the Astana sorting railway station. This is reported by the Transport Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan.

According to the information, there are no victims. One person received light cuts to his hand. There is also no threat to passengers and residents of nearby areas.

"On this fact, the Transport Police Department has initiated a criminal case under the article "Violation of traffic safety rules or operation of railway transport." The management of the department immediately went to the scene of the incident. A special task force has been created, which has already begun to clarify all the circumstances of the incident," the ministry said in a statement.

An investigation is currently underway.
