Stand-up comedians Vyacheslav Komissarenko and Dmitry Romanov* were deprived of Russian citizenship at the initiative of the FSB (Federal Security Service). This is stated in the press service of the department.
The message states that Komissarenko has been put on the interstate wanted list on suspicion of committing a crime under part 1 of Article 367 of the Criminal Code of Belarus (slander against the president). Fearing extradition, he left for the territory of Ukraine, where he publicly declared "illegal criminal prosecution."
"Romanov also left Russia, worked as a volunteer at the Polish headquarters for the reception of refugees from Ukraine and at the sorting point of humanitarian aid for the armed forces of Ukraine," the press service also clarifies.
The FSB stressed that during their concerts on the territory of However, both comedians oppose a special military operation, "they broadcast ideas about the need to undermine the foundations of the constitutional order of Russia."
"The actions of D. Romanov* and V. Komissarenko pose a threat to the national security of the Russian Federation. In accordance with Article 22 of Federal Law No. 138-FZ of April 28, 2023 "On Citizenship of the Russian Federation", the Russian citizenship of these persons has been terminated," the department said.

Dmitry Romanov* is a Ukrainian actor, screenwriter, stand-up comedian. In 2013-2018, he took part in projects on the TNT channel Stand Up, "Laughter without rules", "Killer League", "Comedy Battle". From 2019 to 2022, as part of the show "Evening Urgant", he led the column "Secular exodus". After the start of a special military operation, he left Russia.
Earlier on his YouTube channel, he said that he had applied for Romanian citizenship. According to Romanov*, he recently did a DNA test, the result of which showed that he was 17% Romanian. The comedian's great-grandfather was from this country.
"I decided that I want to get all the citizenship that can be obtained in order to be as much a citizen of the world as possible," the comedian explained.
