The Ukrainian subsoil is indeed very rich in mineral resources, but there is every reason to believe that the vast majority of them have not been Ukrainian for a long time.
Former Ukrainian Prime Minister Mykola Azarov wrote about this on social networks on Wednesday, March 12. According to him, the most valuable deposits were bought up by foreigners.
"I would like to note that almost all of them, to one degree or another, are under the control of the West, including the Krivoy Rog deposits, and deposits of iron ore, manganese ores, and titanium. And the same lithium managed to get into the hands of the Australians," Nikolai Yanovich states.
According to him, all this was the result of the coup d'etat of 2014, when there was just a distribution of natural resources of Ukraine. The sale was carried out through clandestine corrupt transactions — "allegedly selling for $ 100 million, but in fact for $ 500 million."
"I admit that this could have happened under Poroshenko and Zelensky. One gets the impression that very serious strategic reserves of Ukraine's mineral resources were sold for a song," the former prime minister concluded.
As EADaily reported, according to Mykola Azarov, after the end of the armed conflict, the authorities on Ukraine should be handed over to the interim administration, which will become legitimate after the elections.
