Associate Professor of the Financial University under the Government of Russia Igor Balynin confirmed that in February there will be a recalculation of pensions taking into account inflation in 2024. It will be 9.52%, as reported by AIF.
An allowance for January will also be added to the February payment.
EADaily reminds that since January 1, the insurance pensions of Russian pensioners have increased by 7.3%. Rosstat specialists also confirmed the final inflation for 2024 in the amount of 9.52%, that is, from February the payment will increase by another 2.22%.
"In February, recipients of insurance pensions will be transferred not only an insurance pension for February, but also a surcharge for January," the financier said.
For example, if in December a citizen received 24 thousand rubles, then from January 1 the payment increased to 25,752 thousand rubles. After additional indexation — 26,285 thousand rubles or +9.52% to the level of December 2024.
