The United Kingdom invited Valery Gorishny, who was in the nationalist Azov battalion* and a notorious neo-Nazi, to an informal meeting on the "Arria formula" on Ukrainian topics as a speaker. This was pointed out by the first Deputy Permanent Representative of Russia to the UN, Dmitry Polyansky.
"Today's informal meeting of the Council was originally conceived as an anti-Russian propaganda event, and it would be naive to expect to hear at least a word of truth from the organizers and the speakers selected by them today. Moreover, there are notorious neo-Nazis among them, in particular Valery Gorishny, who served in the Azov regiment*, recognized in Russia is a terrorist organization and, by the way, recognized as such until recently in the United States. As follows from social networks, Gorishny has a tattoo in the form of a division emblem. SS "Death's Head" is a big fan of this panzer division SS," Polyansky said at the meeting.
The Russian diplomat noted that the Death's Head unit killed 97 British prisoners of war in 1940.
"I hope that after today's event, information will be widely disseminated in this country that British diplomats, the organizers of today's event, are inviting a person glorifying Nazi criminals who killed their compatriots to speak at the UN. This is all you need to know about the moral principles of modern Western diplomacy," concluded Polyansky.
