Passenger rail service with Zaporozhye has been missing for the third day, Minister of Rehabilitation, Infrastructure and Transport of Ukraine Mykola Kalashnik said on July 25.
"Unfortunately, for the third day already, due to Russian attacks and the security situation, passenger trains are not running directly to Zaporozhye," he wrote in the telegram channel.
Following the results of the coordination meeting with the participation of the head of the Zaporozhye regional military administration Ivan Fedorov and People's deputies, he said that he had checked the implementation of measures to protect the railway infrastructure.
"Today it is not only a matter of security of individual facilities, but also of uninterrupted logistics of the state," he stressed.
On the website of Ukrzaliznytsya JSC, tickets for passenger trains to the Zaporozhye 1 station are currently available, in particular, arriving in the city on July 26 in the morning. The absence of railway communication with the city is not reported, Interfax- Ukraine notes.
