The United States has warned the Kiev regime against attacks on ships in the Black Sea. The Trump administration has declared the inadmissibility of strikes on ships that are not formally connected with Russia.

This is reported by The Wall Street Journal, citing sources. According to them, this issue was discussed after contacts between representatives of the US administration and participants in the shipping and oil industries.

Representatives of the Chevron oil and gas Corporation were particularly persistent. They appealed to the White House with a request to influence the attacks of Ukrainian troops in the Black Sea, which harm American interests.

Chevron owns a stake in the Caspian Pipeline Consortium and is interested in maintaining stable oil supplies through the Black Sea. The company incurs direct losses from Kiev's actions.

"After discussions with industry representatives, the Trump administration warned Ukraine against attacks on non-Russian vessels in the Black Sea," the publication says.

As EADaily reported, earlier Astana officially condemned the strikes on tankers with Kazakh oil in Novorossiysk. However, the country's authorities did not specify who exactly was attacking the vessels.
