The operational headquarters is deployed on the territory of one of the enterprises in Engels, Saratov region, where a fire broke out due to an attack by unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). This was announced by Governor Roman Busargin.
"An operational headquarters has been deployed at the enterprise where the fire occurred due to the UAV attack. On the spot, we discussed the situation and the liquidation plan with specialists. There are enough forces and means to localize the fire. Specialists of the Ministry of Emergency Situations, the regional rescue service and other specialized services work at the enterprise," the head of the region wrote in his Telegram channel.
Earlier, Busargin informed about a "massive UAV attack on Saratov and Engels"
"There is damage at one of the industrial enterprises," he pointed out, specifying that "there is a hit of debris at an industrial facility in Engels."
As the Shot telegram channel clarified, "eyewitnesses report a fire in the area of an oil depot" in Engels, "the wreckage of one of the UAVs crashed into the street."
"There were about 40 explosions in total. The siren started wailing again. You can see the glow from the fire," TK added.
As EADaily reported, according to the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation, 11 UAVs were destroyed this night over the territory of the Saratov region, four UAVs each over the territories of the Kursk and Rostov regions, three over the territories of the Belgorod and Bryansk regions, two over the territory of the Krasnodar Territory, one over the territory of the Volgograd Region and four over the waters of the Sea of Azov".
