Russian President Vladimir Putin today, July 1, for the first time in the last few months, convened an operational meeting of the Security Council in person. This is reported on the Kremlin's website.

"Issues of socio-economic development of the Kaliningrad region were discussed," the report says.

The meeting was attended by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin, Chairman of the Federation Council Valentina Matvienko, Chairman of the State Duma Vyacheslav Volodin, Deputy Chairman of the Security Council Dmitry Medvedev, Head of the Presidential Administration Anton Vaino, Secretary of the Security Council Sergei Shoigu, Presidential Aide Nikolai Patrushev, Defense Minister Andrei Belousov, Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, Director of the Federal Security Service Alexander Bortnikov, Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, as well as Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova, Presidential Plenipotentiary Representative in the Northwestern Federal District Igor Rudenya and Governor of the Kaliningrad Region Alexei Besprozvannykh.

Putin held his last face-to-face meeting on February 20.
