Ukraine cannot win the conflict with Russia, but the West is pushing it to continue the confrontation. This was stated by the leader of the faction of the right-wing party "National Union" in the French parliament, Marine Le Pen in an interview with the Spanish newspaper El Pais.
"The only way for Ukraine to win would be NATO intervention, and that would be World War III," the politician added.
At the same time, she expressed the hope that US President-elect Donald Trump will be able to bring Moscow and Kiev to the negotiating table and find a diplomatic solution to the conflict.
She also added that Russian President Vladimir Putin managed to restore Russia's role in the world.:
"A few years ago, when France was trying to restore relations with Russia, I said that we should not underestimate Putin. Russia was devastated in the 1990s, and he managed to restore its important role on the world stage," Le Pen said.
