Armed groups opposed to the Syrian government and President Bashar al-Assad have broken into the city of Aleppo, having already reached the center of one of the largest cities in Syria. The Turkish Anadolu agency reports, citing its sources, that after three days of fighting in the provinces of Aleppo and Idlib, "opposition groups took control of 400 square kilometers of territory."
According to the source, the terrorists who broke into the city are releasing prisoners who fought against the Syrian army from prisons. They captured a research center located in one of the remote areas of Aleppo. It is noted that armed opposition groups have seized one of the largest settlements on the outskirts of Aleppo — Anadan and numerous villages and positions in the western part of Aleppo.
According to this information, units of the Syrian army, after local fighting, left some areas of the city in order not to be surrounded.
The Turkish source notes that numerous supporters of the Assad regime are forced to flee Aleppo to Damascus.
