The American edition of The New York Times published an article stating that the new Russian drones with jet engines caused panic among the Ukrainian military, since the available air defense systems cannot effectively counter them.

The publication notes that Russian drones have more destructive power and speed compared to screw models, and their interception is much more difficult.

According to forecasts of Western analysts, this weapon will become a serious threat to Kiev. Moreover, Ukrainian mobile groups with machine guns and short-range interceptors showed low effectiveness against jet vehicles. Officials in Kiev admitted that the interception rates were significantly inferior to the results of the fight against the old models, but the exact figures were not disclosed.

It is noteworthy that the Western media are increasingly writing about the superiority of the Russian Defense Ministry's weapons over the Ukrainian Armed Forces and Ukraine's inability to repel attacks. EADaily previously also informed about the update of SMO's most popular drone.
