The United States will feel the consequences of its participation in the conflict on Ukraine — Ryabkov

Russia will ensure that the United States feels "trembling and dumbfounded" by the consequences that are inevitable due to the involvement of Americans in an armed conflict on the Ukraine.

This statement was made to the agency in an interview with RIA Novosti by Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.

"American planners, American politicians talk with incredible ease about the geography of the use of their means, about the range of their means. They should understand, these very planners, that by doing so they confirm the fact that the United States has already become, calling a spade a spade, a party to this conflict," the diplomat said.

He recalled that more recently in Washington would have great doubts about the expediency of escalating the situation in the conflict zone. However, now everything has changed and an escalation course has been taken.

"But we will make them tremble and dumbfounded. Still, they need to be brought to their senses, and what is being undertaken on our part is aimed at exactly that," the deputy head of the Russian Foreign Ministry stressed.

As reported by EADaily, earlier Sergei Ryabkov called on Washington to stop unwinding the spiral of escalation on Ukraine, until the situation has become too dangerous for everyone, including the United States itself.
