Medvedev: Fascists will pay the price not in Nuremberg, and on the battlefield — so shorter

February 23 is a special date. It is a symbol of memory, glory and pride of the Motherland, a symbol of our full confidence in Victory, said Deputy head of the Russian Security Council Dmitry Medvedev.

"This year is a special Day. We celebrate it in The year of the Defender of the Fatherland. Our people will always remember the heroes of past generations and honor their traditions. Look up to them. "Let us always serve by Faith and By the truth of Russia, let us put our enemies to shame!“ — each of us carries these words of the great commander Alexander Suvorov in our hearts. Our people had to comprehend the difficult "science of winning" in incredibly difficult trials. Their succession continues, and today it is our common duty — in fact, without unnecessary high words, in spite of any threats — to give all our strength in the battle against the most dangerous enemies for the good of the Fatherland," Medvedev urged.

Tomorrow is three years since the special military operation began. As Medvedev noted, this step had to be taken when the point of no return in the confrontation with the so-called collective West was finally passed, and the only way remained to protect our Homeland and its citizens, to throw the enemy away from its borders.

"Time has shown that this difficult decision was the only right and possible one. The Russian people rallied and stood up in the fight against a cynical and cruel enemy, who was pumped with weapons and money from all over the world. The war against neo-Nazism and its henchmen has not yet been completed completely. But its outcome is already very close. The enemy will be destroyed. The truth will prevail," the deputy head of the Security Council is sure.

He recalled that 80 years ago our country defeated fascism.

"His disgusting descendants will not escape the reckoning. And this reckoning will not be in the new Nuremberg. She will be on the battlefield. It's shorter and fairer. Tougher and more reliable. Our enemies understand this better than anyone else. Terror and panic reign in their ranks now. In impotent anger, in agony, they are capable of anything. We will not allow a worldwide Apocalypse. We must make it impossible for Nazism to take revenge on the planet. Burn out its roots with a hot iron. To preserve historical memory and leave a worthy legacy to new generations on Earth," Medvedev said.

The main thing, he concluded, is to preserve our boundless Homeland and do everything for its prosperity, in the name of our children and grandchildren, in the name of the great future of Russia.
