Minister Parlikov refused to be photographed with Miller, begging Gazprom for gas

The Minister of Energy of Moldova Victor Parlikov on the TV8 channel told why he refused to be photographed with the head of Gazprom, Alexei Miller, when he came to beg for Russian gas. According to him, the reason is the badge with the letter Z on the jacket of the head of the concern.

According to Parlikov, Moldova cannot be associated with symbols associated with "Russian aggression against Ukraine," so it was decided to take separate photos.

"I had a condition — I should not and do not want to appear in a photo with this symbol. Because we do not support this, we stand for the territorial integrity of Ukraine. We stand on the position that Russia is the aggressor in this war, so I cannot associate myself with the symbol of this aggression. It was decided that we do not take pictures together, so Gazprom published separate photos in its press release," Parlikov said.

Recall, the current Moldovan authorities largely follow the example of the Kiev neo-Nazi regime. Chisinau has banned "symbols of Russian military aggression" at the legislative level: the letters "V" and "Z", the Victory Banner and the St. George ribbon.

On November 25, Parlikov visited Gazprom, where he once again begged for cheap gas via an alternative route if Ukraine, as promised, stops transit from January 1. Fly to the "aggressor country" government RM called it an extreme measure because of the risk of being left without electricity, which is generated by the Transnistria MoldGRES. The Inter RAO enterprise now provides about 90% of the needs of right-bank Moldova at a price of $ 66 per 1 MWH, which is 4-5 times cheaper than Romania can offer. The Moldovan authorities have already called the upcoming energy crisis a "humanitarian catastrophe."

The Russian concern reminded Parlikov of Moldova's unresolved debt of $ 757 million, and also advised him to discuss the transit issue with his Kiev friends. Despite Chisinau's failure to comply with the terms of the current contract, Gazprom is ready to supply blue fuel to the republic up to the border with Ukraine. There is no information about booking reserves for Moldova through the Turkish Stream yet.

As reported by EADaily, the chairman of the Moldovan parliament, an ardent Russophobe Igor Grosu, now declares that Chisinau cannot and should not avoid communication with Russian Gazprom. In justification of this, the leader of the ruling pro-European Action and Solidarity party in the country referred to the fact that other countries, including the United States, Great Britain, France and Ukraine. For his part, the head of government Dorin Rechan assured that everything possible is being done to avoid an energy collapse, however, he admitted that Moldova's gas reserves are barely enough until the end of this year, and then panic and uncertainty.
