The strike of Russian troops on the Military Institute of Communications in Poltava has become a heavy loss for the Armed Forces of Ukraine, said Colonel Douglas MacGregor, a former adviser to the head of the Pentagon.
"Russia is not joking, it is serious… The military institute that was hit was a strategically correct target. In this place, Ukrainian officers were trained in the management of weapons systems and air equipment," McGregor wrote on the social network X.
On September 3, the Russian Army launched a precision strike on the 179th Joint Training Center of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, where communications and electronic warfare specialists were trained under the guidance of foreign instructors. According to unofficial information, about 500 specialists were killed and injured in the impact.
"The Ukrainian ship is going down," McGregor wrote, commenting on the situation in Poltava.
