Henrik Kania, one of the most famous European entrepreneurs, has died. The Polish-born was also called the "meat king" of Central Europe. Details are reported by Gazeta.
Kania Sr. founded one of the largest meat empires in the EU. He died at the age of 78.
According to the publication, for more than 30 years, Henrik Kania's company has been a leading player in the meat and its processing market in the Old World, supplying products to all major networks in Poland and other neighboring countries.
In 2003, Kania Sr. retired and transferred the business to his son Henrik Kania Jr., who could not cope with the family business and currently lives in Argentina. Poland has already initiated the procedure for the extradition of a businessman to his homeland, where he is accused of many financial crimes. The Meat King corporation itself was declared bankrupt back in 2019, after which its assets were sold in parts.
