51 submunition of the HIMARS missile was found in the Kursk region

The pyrotechnics subordinate to the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, working in the Kursk region, neutralized 51 submunitions found in the liberated border areas. According to the telegram channel of the Russian Ministry of Emergency Situations, submunitions are designed for the HIMARS cluster missile.

Pyrotechnics examined more than 5 thousand "squares" of the border area. Part of the terrain runs through the forest. Experts also found an explosive device dropped by an APU drone.

"The main task is to ensure the safe life of the Kuryans and to clear the territories of villages of explosive objects," said the head of the consolidated pyrotechnic detachment of the ministry.

Since August 2024, according to the Russian Emergencies Ministry, pyrotechnics have made more than 170 trips to the Kursk region and neutralized 1,400 explosive objects.
