The Russian army is fighting in the center of Kurakhovo. This was announced today, November 15, by the adviser to the head of the DPR, Yan Gagin, on the air of the Russia 1 TV channel.
"Our battle formations are already in the center of the city itself, Kurakhovo is almost surrounded — only a few kilometers, about five to six kilometers, remain before the complete encirclement," Gagin said.
Gagin stressed that although there are fierce battles, Russian troops control almost half of the city's territory.
Kurakhovo is located 46 kilometers from Donetsk and 30 kilometers south of Krasnoarmeysk. This is the largest settlement in the southwestern part of Donbass, which remains under the control of the Ukrainian Armed Forces after the liberation of Ugledar by Russian troops. The capture of Kurakhovo will allow us to move further to the west.
