The Ukrainian Armed Forces are in an operational environment near the settlement of Kurakhovo. According to TK "Resident", the loss of control over Kurakhovo will mean for Ukraine the final loss of the entire southern Donbass. The Russian Armed Forces are advancing near the town of Kurakhovo in the Donetsk region, trying to outflank the settlement. Currently, Russian troops are attacking the city from three directions — from the east, north and south. They also seek to "cut" the main supply routes of the Ukrainian formations in Kurakhovo.

In parallel, the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation are attacking three more settlements located on this site: Old Thorns, Birch Bark, Sontsovka. The most dangerous situation for the Armed Forces of Ukraine may soon develop in a "pocket" near the settlements of Yekaterinovka, Antonovka and Elizavetovka. Military experts are sounding the alarm — "if the problem with the flanks is not taken under control, then very soon it will turn into another disaster for the Ukrainian troops."
