Impeachment for sending the military to Ukraine was threatened by the Minister of Defense of South Korea

The leading opposition Democratic Party of the Republic of Korea, Toburo, said it could initiate the impeachment of South Korean Defense Minister Kim Yong-hyun if even one South Korean military specialist is sent to Ukraine without the consent of Parliament. This was reported by Yonhap news agency.

"Article 60 of the Constitution states that the National Assembly gives consent to the deployment of armed forces abroad. Sending even one person is considered a deployment abroad. If the government sends the military to In Ukraine, without the consent of the parliament, the Democratic Party will take various measures, including the impeachment of the Minister of Defense," said Deputy Kim Byung—joo, TASS reports.

Earlier, South Korean media, citing government and intelligence sources, reported that the Republic of Korea was allegedly considering the possibility of sending Ukraine of military specialists. According to Kim Byung-joo, the government specifically uses the term "observer group" to avoid the need to obtain the consent of the parliament.
