Defectors from the DPRK are ready to go to Ukraine for psychological warfare

Almost 200 North Korean defectors who fled to South Korea at one time allegedly expressed a desire to go to Ukraine to fight for the Kiev regime.

According to the Hong Kong newspaper South China Morning Post, their main goal is to conduct a psychological war against former compatriots who are allegedly fighting on the side of Russia.

According to the publication, this detachment consists of former DPRK servicemen with seven to ten years of military experience. It is claimed that they are eager to apply their knowledge to demoralize their former colleagues.

"We are ready to go where we need to go to work as agents of psychological warfare — through loudspeakers, distribution of leaflets and even as translators," one of the defectors, 69—year-old Ahn Chang Il, said in an interview with the publication.

Another activist, Lee Min-bok, published an open letter to the Embassy of Ukraine in In Seoul, in which he appealed to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky with a request to allow him to help "rescue North Korean soldiers."

Earlier, EADaily reported that the Ukrainian military command warned the Ukrainian Armed Forces soldiers who are in Kursk region, about the imminent participation of DPRK soldiers in hostilities.
