Tomorrow, October 22, on the first day of the 16th BRICS summit, starting in Kazan, Russian President Vladimir Putin will hold talks with the leaders of five states. This was announced by the assistant to the Russian president Yuri Ushakov.
"Naturally, such a large-scale international event will not do without holding bilateral meetings. We have a lot of them planned, I think it will not be easy for our president, but he himself expressed a desire to meet with literally all the leaders of the states who will come to Kazan," Ushakov said.
According to him, the "cycle of conversations" will open with Putin's meeting with the president of the New Development Bank Dilma Rousseff. After that, negotiations will take place with Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi, South African President Cyril Ramaphosa, and "detailed negotiations" with Chinese President Xi Jinping are also planned.
Further, according to the summit program, the leaders will gather for an informal dinner at the Kazan City Hall.
"After the dinner, another working contact has already been made with Egyptian President Abdel Fattah al-Sisi. This will end the first working day," Ushakov said.
