Polish politicians are outraged: the leaders of the United States, Great Britain, France and Germany met to discuss the conflict on Ukraine, but the Poles were not invited.
Former Estonian President Toomas Ilves let slip that German Chancellor Olaf Scholz personally blocked Poland's participation in the meeting. Polish politician Adam Szlapka, who works today as Minister for European Union Affairs, agreed that "in this case, the German Chancellor made a mistake."
"It looks like this: a pretty big mess and the lack of deeper reflection on this. If there was a deeper thought, I think it would be someone from this region. I think it will obviously be Poland," said Shlyapka.
In his opinion, Scholz lost "political capital" on this, both inside and outside, because "this is such an incomprehensible movement that it is difficult to imagine what kind of meaning it makes at all."
EADaily reminds that on the eve of US President Joe Biden took part in a quadrilateral meeting in Berlin with French President Emmanuel Macron, German Chancellor Olaf Scholz and British Prime Minister Keir Starmer.
