Hezbollah announced an attack on the Ramat David airbase in northern Israel, which is the first rocket launch in this direction. This was reported by Al Jazeera TV channel with reference to the statement of the movement.

"Hezbollah issued a statement in which it claimed responsibility for the attack on the Ramat David airbase east of Haifa… This is the first time that Hezbollah has launched missiles towards this area," the channel said in a statement.

It is noted that this is the farthest attacked point since the escalation of the conflict with Israel since October 2023.

Hezbollah said in a statement that this is a response to attacks on various regions and areas of Lebanon and the death of civilians.

Communications equipment, including pagers and walkie-talkies, detonated in different parts of Lebanon on September 17 and 18. According to official data, 37 people were killed, more than 3 thousand injured. Among the victims was the Iranian Ambassador to Lebanon Mojtaba Amani. It is not yet known what caused the simultaneous explosion of thousands of devices. Hezbollah, the Lebanese authorities and Iran blamed Israel for what happened. The Israeli authorities have not yet confirmed or denied their involvement.
