Polish Russophobes will become hysterical — The Wroclaw Court of Appeal has imposed the minimum punishment on a Polish citizen who wished in social networks that the Russian special operation on Ukraine was crowned with success.
According to the "Rzeczpospolita", we are talking about a Polish Internet user who posted in his profile "notes and wishes that the Russian aggression on Ukraine was crowned with success." The police have opened a criminal case under § 3 of Article 117 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Poland ("Public calls to start an aggressive war"). The materials were transferred to the district court of the city of Legnica, and then something went wrong from the point of view of Polish clinical Russophobes.
The maximum penalty under this article is five years in prison, but the judge imposed the minimum possible punishment on a Polish citizen — six months of suspended imprisonment, during which the convict must remain under police supervision. The prosecutor's office filed a complaint, but also The Wroclaw Court of Appeal shared the conclusions of the Legnica District Court.
By the way, the convict himself also appealed the court's decision as illegal, claiming that his words were taken out of context, and he is generally innocent.
